Spencer Groves Taps Pharrell & Snoop for “Wind” Ahead of Sophomore Album
RapWire Exclusive
Rising rapper Spencer Groves is back with serious momentum. The Colorado native just announced “Wind,” a Pharrell Williams and Snoop Dogg–assisted single dropping September 12, and it’s already shaping up to be his biggest record yet
Building the Buzz
Groves has been steadily building his reputation since his debut album, which racked up over 1.8 million streams. But with “Wind,” he’s positioning himself on a whole new level. Pharrell brings his trademark bounce, Snoop delivers the laid-back smoothness, and Groves himself provides the hungry lyricism fans have come to expect.
The Album Rollout
“Wind” will serve as the first of two lead singles from Groves’ upcoming sophomore album, set to release November 8. The second single, “Our Way” featuring Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane, drops October 18.
With names like Pharrell, Wayne, and Gucci locked in, Groves is leaning into the same strategy that helped breakout stars cross into mainstream recognition: balancing core hip-hop respect with playlist-friendly reach.
Eyes on November
For fans, the bigger question is how this album will compare to his debut. With features spanning rap legends and modern icons, Groves has stacked the deck in his favor.
If “Wind” lands the way insiders expect, Spencer Groves could be on track to solidify his spot as one of the most watched new voices in hip-hop.
